Being Kind to a Neighbour

I have a lovely neighbour who lives on her own. I like talking to her and she’s really friendly. I don’t think she was very happy during lockdown because you have to stay away from anyone who doesn’t live in your house. She lives with her dog Roxie but was still lonely. She LOVES reading and she has hundreds of books. One day I decided to make something to cheer her up. I made her a rainbow bracelet with her name on it and a pretty bookmark. I also wrote her a letter. I felt super happy when I put the presents and the letter on her doorstep. I was so excited because I hoped it would cheer her up. She came out of her house straight away. I could tell she was really happy and we had long, friendly chat. Being kind and neighbourly made me really pleased.
