My Kindness Story
My name is Noah and I am 8 years old. It is really important to be kind as it makes people feel happy. We have all been in lockdown because of Coronavirus which has been very strange for everyone. Me and my family have been kind by getting shopping for people and making sure we check how people are. We have done some family quizzes on zoom to help cheer us all up and to be able to see each other. Last year me and my Dad did The Great North Run and we were going to do it this year as well but it has been cancelled. I ran in the Mini North Run which is on Newcastle Quayside and my Dad also did the full run. We both raised money for charity by doing it and the charity we chose was the Chloe & Liam Together Forever Foundation Trust. Chloe & Liam were 2 young people from the North East who were killed in the Manchester bombing. Chloe loved to perform and Liam loved sports and played a lot of cricket. We chose this charity as my sister loves performing and I love playing cricket. The Foundation helps to support young people in both of these areas and their mission statement is “to inspire and support others to achieve and reach their full potential through the love of sport and performance”. After we had done both runs, I met Chloe’s Mam and spoke to her and told her that I had been running for the Trust, she was very pleased. In 2018, I also did the Mini North Run and raised money to help one of the Children’s Cancer Wards at Newcastle RVI.
