Talking Tees Valley: Easter

15 March 2021

Talking Tees Valley is a monthly activity pack that uses the museum and art collections in the Tees Valley museums to encourage discussions and conversations for people living with dementia.

This month, with Easter around the corner, we visit the Sweet Shop in Preston Park Museum to hear the story about James Fothergill Smith and the kinds of sweets that were made in his factory at Green Dragon Yard.

You can visit a recreation of J. F. Smith and Co.’s Sweet Shop at Preston Park Museum. Visit their website here to find out up to date information regarding changes to opening times and booking processes due to the current pandemic.

This activity pack contains images, discussion points and activities for you to enjoy.
