Talking Tees Valley: Linthorpe Art Pottery

01 March 2024

Each month we use objects from our museums in the Tees Valley to take a closer look at the lives and stories from people in our area.

This month we are looking into the Linthorpe Art Pottery, the most well-known ceramic makers in Middlesbrough. Read on to find out how they began, what kinds of pottery they made, and have a go at designing your own Linthorpe Art Pottery.

In this pack we explore Linthorpe Art Pottery, once based in Middlesbrough in the 1880s. This activity pack contains images, discussion points and activities for you to enjoy.
