Talking Tees Valley: The Mellanby Brothers

30 July 2021

Talking Tees Valley is a monthly activity pack that uses the museum and art collections in the Tees Valley museums to encourage discussions and conversations for people living with dementia.

In this months activity pack we are taking a closer look into the objects left behind by two brothers in Stockton-on-Tees. The objects tell the stories of their Second World War services and the lives they led.

This activity pack contains images, discussion points and activities for you to enjoy.

Two men in navy uniform sit on what appears to be the deck of a ship, one of the men has his arm round the other who is sitting lent forward with his elbows resting on his knees and his hands clasped together in front. The men are laughing like they have just been caught telling jokes. The photograph is in sepia.
