Talking Tees Valley: Women of the Second World War

02 November 2023

Each month we use objects and photos from our museums in the Tees Valley to take a closer look at the lives and stories of people in our area.

In this pack, we are shining a light on the war work done by local women during the Second World War. From joining local industries to serving in the armed forces women played a vital role in the war effort.

Take a look through this pack to learn all about the role local women played throughout the Second World War through the objects, photos, and stories from our museum collections.
