FREE Egyptians CPD with the British Museum

29 May 2022

Join us for an online twilight session on Wednesday 22nd June 15.45 – 16.45.

Did you know that in 1822, the Egyptian hieroglyphs on the Rosetta Stone were deciphered for the first time and that in 1922 Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun? Two huge discoveries that gave us unparalleled insight into Ancient Egypt.

Meet Loretta Kilroe, curator for Sudan and Nubia at the British Museum, and gain in-depth knowledge about both these fascinating stories that are sure to fire pupils’ imaginations.

Other presenters are Susan Kent from the British Museum Learning Team, Jess Robinson, History lead at Billingham South Primary and Zoe Wilson from the Dorman Museum. Get great ideas for classroom activities, hear about an exciting After School Club and find out how your students can see genuine Ancient Egyptian artefacts, including some from the British Museum, in Middlesbrough this Autumn.

Great for busy teachers – convenient time, no travel, only an hour and FREE resources to use back in the classroom! To book your free places contact
