New wellbeing homework package

19 November 2021

Are you looking for a homework project that can involve the whole family, promote emotional literacy and help build cultural capital? Look no further. Our new homework package ‘How does art make us feel?’ helps students and their families reflect positively and celebrate together

How does art make us feel?” is an easy-to-use homework project package. There’s a video to talk you through the ideas and all the materials you’ll need are free to download – from activity sheets to guidance notes for family adults.

Gaining an Arts Award through a homework project is a unique way to encourage families to support their children and to build positive family relationships through creative home learning.

“How does art make us feel?” helps students to:
● think about how they express themselves culturally and creatively
● reflect on their emotions
● recognise the value of time spent with family and friends
● understand the role that creative hobbies and interests can play in self care

At the end of the project, as long as students have completed the Arts Award booklet well, they will receive an official Arts Award Discover from Trinity College. The certificates usually cost £4 per student however, for a limited time, we can cover these costs. If you’d like to be able to offer your students the chance to celebrate their creativity through an Arts Award at no cost to them, please talk to tracy.linsley@stockton.gov.uk.
