Located in a stunning and beautifully restored Grade II listed Victorian church, formerly known as Christ Church. Hartlepool Art Gallery opened in 1996 and is within a minutes’ walk from Hartlepool Railway Station and close to Hartlepool Town Centre, Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, the National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool, and the Town Hall Theatre.

The gallery has two exhibition spaces available hosting a frequent changing exhibition programme that aims to be ambitious and creatively diverse.

You can enjoy contemporary and fine art, photography, crafts and work from the extensive permanent collection of Hartlepool Museum Service.

The gallery shop carries a wide range of books, art, gifts and jewellery with a focus on the work of talented local makers. The Vestry Cafe, which is run by the students of Catcote Acadamy as part of their education, serves a range of light meals, tasty treats and snacks.
