Description:

In this interactive session, students explore the museum’s collection and a range of age-appropriate primary source materials to look at the home front in WW2 and find out what happened in Darlington. Much of the session can be linked to key books read in the classroom such as Goodnight Mr Tom. Schools can catch a train to North Road station, which stops right outside the Museum. North Road was the original Darlington railway station. A train journey to or from the Museum is not compulsory, but it can really help to bring a visit to life.
