Description:

All our dinosaurs have gone missing! Can you help us find them? Children explore the woodland and gardens to find the dinosaurs and record their names. They then gather information to complete a spotters guide sheet about a chosen dinosaur. In a mini-dino dig, students will uncover dino skeletons and fossils, find out about how they came about and make a fossil mould of their own.

Key learning outcomes

Students will name the main body parts of our dinos as well as thinking about what it means to be extinct. They will handle fossils and think about the traces animals leave.
