Description:

Students take on the role of archaeologists and discover the world of the Romans. Through handling real Roman artefacts they learn about the different materials and objects used by the Romans in Hartlepool and also discover what kinds of things have survived since Roman times and what has not: an important insight for young historians.

Planning a visit:

Our school workshops are available to book between Monday to Friday between 10am and 2.30pm subject to availability. Our workshops are currently free of charge.

We can accommodate one class per visit as standard but contact us if you need more capacity.

We do not have a dedicated lunch space inside our venue. There is a quayside with seating available outside the Museum, seating pads are available upon from request from the Learning Staff.

Pre-booking is essential.
