Description:

In our exciting, interactive, space themed workshop students will learn about the planets which make up our solar system and a clever way of remembering all their names! Students enrol in “Space School”, make space stations or moon buggies using junk modelling and take part in the ultimate team challenge. Even after all the excitement, there’s time to design their very own space helmet to wear back at school!

Ley learning outcomes:

Students better understand the Earth in space and its relationship to other planets in the solar system. They consider forces, especially gravity, and get a sense of the challenges of working in space.

Main learning approaches:

Active learning
Collaborative learning
