Description:

During this strict School Day workshop, children will discover first-hand through role play what school was like for Victorian children including taking part in lessons and learning to write their name using a dip pen and ink.

Our popular hands on workshops are led by a member of the Museum Learning Team and have a mixture of replica and original objects for your class to explore and enjoy. Plus, children get to make something to take home on the day.

Workshops last approximately 1 hour

£35 per workshop (up to 30 children), plus £1.50 museum admission charge per child.

Planning a visit:

Workshop lengths vary, with price varying accordingly.

Most leave plenty of time for schools to combine led sessions with independent exploration of the Museum, especially our treasured Victorian Street.

Spaces to eat packed lunches are provided when booking led sessions.
