Talking Tees Valley: Dangerous Railways

01 February 2024

Each month we use objects and photos from our museums in the Tees Valley to take a closer look at the lives and stories from people in our area.

This time we are diving into the railway world to look at what stories we hold regarding those who were injured on the railways and taking a look at just how hard and dangerous this work could be.

Many people will have family members who have worked for the railways, take a look through this pack to discover what working conditions would have been like for railway workers in the past!
